This is a three week seminar on the spiritual gifts in the Catholic life. The seminar will explore the fact that the Holy Spirit gives gifts to all Christians. Each Christian, then, has one or more spiritual gifts to be used to help build up the Church and give witness to Jesus as Lord.

In the three weeks, we will explore the following:

The relationship between the Baptism in the Spirit and spiritual gifts will be explored.
God is giving to his people in our day a new, fresh outpouring of His Spirit to awaken in us His graces.

The Father is drawing his children into a fuller communion of the heart in our day.
Growing in the personal prayer language of the Spirit to enter more deeply into communion with the Trinity is His gift to us.

Exploring the spiritual gifts of prophecy that builds up, encourages and consoles people.
Prophecy is seldom “fore-telling” but more encouraging the body of Christ.

Exploring the spiritual gifts of words of knowledge and wisdom to help each other grow in his love
The Lord wants us to grow more deeply in revealed truths of the Christian faith.

Exploring the spiritual gifts of tongues and interpretation
The Lord Jesus wants us all to grow in interdependence of one another.

Exploring the power of love that binds all the spiritual gifts together
Growing in love is the key to the spiritual gifts functioning well.
