Children’s Ministries
Children’s Ministries take place during the 9:30 Mass through May. The ministry will resume in September.
Early Childhood Ministry for children ages 3 – 6, is located in St. Philip Neri School, adjacent to the Church lobby. Children are signed in before Mass and signed out after Mass. Volunteers help plant the seeds of faith through prayer and activities built around the verses of the Sunday Gospel reading.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is for children ages 7 through 12. Children attend Mass, but are dismissed before the Liturgy of the Word begins and go to the Chapel for the Readings, Gospel reflection and prayer in language that benefits them. They return to Mass before the Liturgy of the Eucharist begins.
Religious Education
Religious Education at St. Philip Neri parish has a special focus on how we live in imitation of Christ and the fundamentals of the Catholic faith. When reinforced and practiced daily, young Catholics will know, practice, and grow in faith. Sunday 10:45 am classes begin on September 17, 2017 and will continue through April, 2018. Initial Faith Formation – for children entering or returning to the Catholic Church
We welcome children into the Church at all ages, including those who have had no previous faith formation.
